Denise learnt to carve under the guidance of Geoff Rayson an accomplished carver with the Bayside Woodturners and Carvers Association, when she was living in Manly in Queensland. While she has done very little carving over the last few years she is now able to continue with this art form and thoroughly enjoys deep relief carving using a variety of woods.
